A Note from Chris
As we head into the holidays and the close of another year, I’m reminded how much of this work is really about people—not just portfolios.
Thank you for trusting me with your financial life, for the conversations we’ve had this year, and for allowing me to be part of your journey. I’m genuinely grateful for each of you, not only during the Christmas season, but all year long.
I hope this season brings you time with the people who matter most, space to rest and recharge, and a moment to reflect on a year well-lived. And as we look ahead to 2026, I’m excited to continue helping you align your money with your goals, values, and priorities.

Year-End Checklist Before the Ball Drops
- Confirm 2025 contributions to your 401(k), IRA, and HSA (and catch-up contributions if eligible).
- Review potential Roth conversion opportunities before 12/31.
- Look at realized gains and losses for tax-loss harvesting opportunities (mind wash-sale rules).
- Double-check required minimum distributions (RMDs) if applicable.
- Evaluate charitable giving strategies (including donor-advised funds or gifting appreciated securities).
- Revisit withholdings and estimated tax payments to avoid April surprises.
- Update beneficiaries and key documents (retirement accounts, life insurance, estate planning).
If we haven’t already done a year-end review, now is a great time to connect.
Resources Worth a Look
🎄 Holiday Tradition: Baking Christmas Cookies with Family
One of my favorite holiday traditions is baking Christmas cookies with family. There’s something special about slowing down in a busy season, spending time in the kitchen together, and creating something to share. It’s a simple reminder that the holidays are really about connection, not perfection—and it always brings a sense of warmth and joy to our home.
🍫 Recipe of the Month: No-Bake Peppermint Chocolate Bark
A quick, festive treat that’s perfect for gatherings or gifting.
Melt 16 oz dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips, spread on a parchment-lined baking sheet, sprinkle 6–8 crushed candy canes over the top, and chill until firm. Optional: add a drizzle of white chocolate for a layered look, then break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
🎬 Holiday Movie Pick: It’s a Wonderful Life
A timeless classic and one of the best year-end reminders that true wealth is found in relationships, community, and the impact we have on others—not just in numbers on a statement.
